So, I had a white tree in my garage; one that I have had for several years. Even though it was cute, I had never used it. Time to bring it out and spice it up for Valentine’s Day. I spent about $5.00 total for the decorations – all from the Dollar Tree. Here’s what I used:
- Garland made with red valentines. I used two strings of garland because I like the tree to be full.
- Several red, glittery branches. I used these to provide color throughout the tree.
- Large valentines. These come in a pack of three (two red hearts and one pinkish heart).
- One red napkin I had on hand. I use scraps of fabric and napkins when I stage things.
Once the tree is decorated, you’ll be able to place it in a number of settings: next to a fireplace, on a food or dessert bar, in a bathroom, bedroom, or another place. Nothing is glued on the tree, so you can take the decorations off and use the tree for another occasion. You could also place a clear plastic bag over the tree and store it – already decorated – for next Valentine’s Day.
My father-in-law lives with us, and this year’s Valentine’s Day tree is going in his bedroom so he can enjoy the love whenever he wants.
